On November 2nd, the 2024 China Education Expo opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. This expo provided a valuable information exchange platform for students and parents interested in studying abroad, attracting renowned university delegations and exhibitors from around the world. Representatives from the Joint Institute attended to learn and exchange ideas, gaining in-depth understanding of various countries' study abroad policies, application processes, and future career planning through on-site discussions.
At this education expo, higher education institutions from Germany, the UK, France, and other countries were in the spotlight. The German Academic Exchange Service showcased the unique appeal of German higher education through detailed data and vivid case studies. The French Academic Exchange Center's virtual experience zone utilized advanced VR technology to demonstrate their quality educational resources and teaching methods. France is known for its diverse academic programs, flexible curriculum arrangements, and internationally recognized degrees. Additionally, the French government's support policies for international students, such as housing allowances and medical insurance, provide an excellent environment for study and life. The British Council emphasized the long history and excellent quality of British education. They provided comprehensive guides on applying to British universities, including language requirements, entrance examinations (such as IELTS, A-Levels), and visa policies. The British section also particularly emphasized their wide range of course options and high teaching standards, which are key factors in attracting global students.
Many Russian universities also participated in the expo, including I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Russian State Pedagogical University, Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, and Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. University representatives engaged in in-depth discussions with students, answering questions about study abroad applications, program selection, and campus life.
For the Joint Institute's faculty and students, this education expo was not only an excellent opportunity to obtain study abroad information but also a platform to inspire future academic pursuits and career planning. Student representatives could closely interact with top universities worldwide, understanding the latest study abroad trends and information, which helps broaden their horizons and lays a solid foundation for their future academic paths and career development. The attending delegation will form a presentation team to share the information and experiences gained with all students in the institute.
