DAY 4: Exploring the Deep Sea, Shaping Future Dreams
Immersing in Local Culture, Embracing the Vibrant Nightlife
On the morning of April 3rd at 9:00 AM, project groups convened in their respective meeting rooms. Guided by their leaders, each group reviewed previous discussions, further refined their goals, and established project timelines. The morning’s brainstorming sessions resulted in satisfactory outcomes, setting a solid foundation for subsequent in-depth research.
At 1:30 PM, the practice team visited the Institute of Deep-Sea Science and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The guide presented the Fendouzhe submersible model and displayed whale specimens and artifacts recovered from shipwrecks, which captivated the attendees. The team also viewed documentaries on the Deep Sea Warrior and Fendouzhe, gaining insights into deep-sea exploration and the advanced capabilities of Chinese submersibles.
In the evening, the team explored a local night market. Foreign participants sought to experience the local street culture and purchase souvenirs. During the hour-long free activity, members sampled local delicacies, and with the assistance of their Chinese counterparts, the foreign participants purchased desired items. This experience fostered deeper friendships. On the return journey, the team enjoyed harmonious and lively exchanges, filled with laughter.
Back at the meeting room, the team held a brief session to discuss current issues and future plans.
Throughout the day, the practice team made significant strides in project development and deepened their understanding of deep-sea science through hands-on experiences. In this collaborative atmosphere, team members will continue to acquire valuable knowledge, build lasting friendships, and achieve excellent results.
