A presentation on library resources and services was delivered at S102 of JEI building on 13 September. This activity was presided over by Mr. Liu Shusheng, Associate Dean of the JEI, and the presentation was delivered by Ms. Sheng Qiuyan, Director of HEU Library Discipline Service Center. 2022 Class students of the JEI participated in this activity.
Ms. Sheng Qiuyan introduced and explained in detail the collection of literature resources, book lending, the use of database resources, the overall structure of the library, and popularized the borrowing methods and requirements of the library. The students are encouraged to benefit from the library resources on independent study and constantly broaden their horizons. Introduction to humanistic education was elaborated which stimulated students' interest in humanistic lectures and artistic literacy resources. After the presentation, Sheng Qiuyan provided the students with the library consulting information, and answered many questions raised by the students.
The presentation enhanced deep understanding of the library resources, aroused students' interest in exploring academic resources, and helped students acquire the skills in efficient retrieving and using library resources, improve their information literacy, and lay a good foundation for learning.
