lVisa Requirements
It is the responsibility of the participants to obtain a visa if required. Visa requirements depend on your nationality, as well as the duration and purpose of the intended stay. We suggest that you contact your local Chinese consulates for official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that may apply to you.
Hainan province is a special‘visa-free’region in China for tourists, so if you have companions traveling with you for tourism, they do not need to apply for a visa before arrival. In order to be eligible for visa-free arrival, your first stop in Mainland China has to be in Hainan province.

l Insurance and Liability

The Chinese currency is the CNY. Cash and online payment (WeChat or Alipay) are accepted in most shops. ATMs are not widely available across Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City. We recommend that you bring some cash with you if you would like to pay in cash.
l Electricity
In China, the power plug sockets are of type A and I. The standard voltage is 220V and the frequency is 50Hz. Please bring your own adapters.
l Climate
In December the average temperature in Sanya ranges from a high of 24°C (75.2°F) to a low of 17°C (62.6°F).
